The PTSA are running a socially-distanced Christmas Raffle!
Students are asked to donate suitable items, preferably in their House colour and will receive house points for their donations. Please include anything you or a family member would like to see in a Christmas hamper e.g. cosmetics, smellies, chocolates, sweets, biscuits, socks, gloves, bottles etc – we just ask that everything is un-opened and in date!
Students can drop items off at school office from Wednesday 25th November to Friday 4th December
Don’t forget to think Red, Yellow, Blue or Purple and make sure your name and tutor group are attached to your donation (e.g by post-it) so we can allocate your house points! If you are donating bottles that contain alcohol we ask that an adult delivers these to the school reception.
Raffle tickets costing £1 will be sold via Parent Pay from Monday 7th December and the Grand Draw will take place on Wednesday 16th December with winners being notified in time to receive prizes before the Christmas holiday. The number of hampers available will be dependent on donations. All funds raised will go towards resources and facilities for Southam College. However, we also hope to generate enough hampers to spread seasonal goodwill to local establishments like Galanos House and Southam Food Bank, in addition to the work already taking place to support these facilities.
All appropriate COVID measures for quarantine will be applied to this raffle.
Many thanks in advance for your contributions to support the PTSA
Science revision guides and workbooks are now available at cost price on Parentpay. These would be especially useful this year as they give an excellent, comprehensive coverage of everything students need to know.
Please look out for the letters which will be coming out soon, however the letter is just for information. If you want to get on with it as soon as possible we will make sure that every student gets the right ones for the course they are on.
As always, we are happy to exchange any which are still in good condition if students change group, tier or course as there are plenty of things we can do with slightly used copies.
Before you do that, it is worth checking if students in Years 8,10 and 11 have already got one somewhere!
If you require further information, please email me directly.
