On Wednesday evening the y9 football team travelled to Aylesford for the 6 a side tournament. Southam were placed in a group with Kineton and Stratford, playing each team twice. 

The first game saw Southam take a 1-0 win against Kineton with Luca scoring from on the goal line after a great save. The team played well and kept the ball efficiently and using the width well. The 2nd game also saw Southam take a 1-0 win against Stratford, again this was a goal from Luca after some lovely team play started by Eva. The third game saw Southam play Kineton again but this time a 2-0 defeat. Kineton took full advantage of the chances they created. Our final game saw us play Stratford again and this was a very good team performance winning 2-0 with both goals being scored by Jamie and assisted by Alex with identical team moves. 

Southam topped the group and played Aylesford in the semi final. Unfortunately, the team lost 1-0 despite some very strong performances from Ethan, Frankie and Zach. A disappointing end to the tournament but some lovely football played.
